Hi. I rang the Harley Street office today to enquire about the O-shot with Dr Wakil. I was diagnosed with Lichen Sclerosus in 2012 but my gynaecologist suspects I have had it for some time. I have architectural changes to my vulva as a result and the skin is pale and dry. I have decreased sensitivity and am finding it increasingly harder to climax. My questions are these:-
1. Would the o-shot improve the skin quality?
2. Could it break down scar tissue in order for me to look more “normal”?
3. Could it help to increase sensitivity?
Many thanks.
Hi AB, on further thought on your condition, it sounds like you may need surgical treatment to the area and then potentially the OShot could help (this is what i was alluding to in my other comment but did not fully explain). Therefore, i would recommend a board certified OBGYN doctor who can surgically address and treat LS in office and also perform the OShot. This would give you the best chance to get good results!
Hi AB, the short answer is yes to all three of your questions. The OShot has helped women with LS by improving the skin quality, decreasing and causing regression of the sclerotic tissue, and increasing sexual sensitivity and ability to enjoy sex and just normal function. There are many certified OShot providers but only a few who really specialize in properly treating LS so you should ask your provider about their experience treating that condition in addition to just offering the OShot. Hope that helps and you get great results!

Thank you for your reply. I am based in the UK. I have an appointment with my dermatologist/ gynocologist at the end of this month where I will discuss surgery and then the O-shot. I actually thought this would be the best way forward. I don’t however think that surgery is offered routinely here in the UK And that the main stay of treatment is clobetasol. I would be interested to see if there were any certified O-shot providers who performed surgery or could recommend a good private surgeon. As I said in my previous email, i have been in touch with your Harley Street office in London.
Hello,
I’m 21 years old and I’ve never had an orgasm vaginally. I’m head over heels for my boyfriend and he’s starting to notice that I don’t enjoy sex as much as I let on. My libido is alive and well but getting down to the actual act is unpleasant and unstatisfying. I create no real vaginal lubrication on my own and there’s no sensation whatsoever when he’s inside me. Will getting this procedure done help me whatsoever? I’m starting to feel like there’s something wrong with me.
Hello,
I left a comment before and wasn’t sure if it worked. I’m a 21 year old who is unable to feel anything during vaginal sex. It just feels numb and sometimes painful. I’m afraid that I might never enjoy sex. Will getting this help me at all?
Hi Alice, sorry to hear of your struggles. The OShot could help you. i would suggest that you find a certified provider near you. You should also have a full medical and OBGYN workup to evaluate other causes or potential medical issues. A certified OShot provider should be able to help educate you about potential causes of your issues and help evaluate if you are a good candidate for this great procedure! Hope that helps.
Can I get the O-shot while I am pregnant? Also can you get the O-shot while you are lactating?
Nothing about the O-Shot that would be dangerous to a child (it’s just the mother’s blood). But the procedure does involve an injection around the vagina and if you went into labor early you’d always wonder if the shot caused that to happen (even though it’s unlikely that it would).
I’d recommend that you wait until after delivery. However, the procedure WOULD not only be safe after delivery, it would likely help the tissue recover (if you had a vaginal delivery) helping repair any tearing/episiotomy and helping prevent/treat urinary incontinence that can be made worse by childbirth.
Great comments Drs. Posey and Runels! I totally agree about your policies as we have the same in our practice!
It’s probably OK while breast feeding but I would not do it if I were pregnant.
I would also think the O shot will stimulate stronger and more orgasms which cause the uterus to contract and could cause premature labor When I did Obstetrics I would tell couples to go have sex to bring on labor if they were near due date also
Advised pelvic rest if in premature labor No sex if premature labor so that should answer the
question Take care and have fun
Thanks Warren
I wondered if this new treatment could work on vulvodynia?
Joanne, there have been patients who suffer from vulvodynia as well as interstitial cystitis that have had positive results from the O-shot. If you have further questions contact a provider in your area to discuss more about the treatment. Good luck!
Have you had any positive results treating Vulvodynia
I am so grateful that Dr Runels office referred me to Dr Posey. I have had LS for over 16 years and my clitoris was buried under what seemed like tons of scar tissue affording me no sensation at all. Because of the advancement of the scar tissue I was now starting to have difficulty voiding. The LS was also spreading to my anus. My skin would tear at the slightest touch to the point that I was constantly bleeding from open areas around my vagina. Open sores and constant bleeding made my life miserable. Not to mention VERY painful, itchy, unsightly and annoying. My Doctors ( including my Gyn) said there was no sense in trying surgery as they found that the LS just came back right away. Fast foreward to Dr Posey. I was in to see her within 10 days of talking with her in person about my situation. The first day she spent at least 2 hours with me on the table doing surgery and another 2 hours again the next day. A lot of surgery BUT it was definitely a huge relief to be able to immediately urinate normally and not have the urine spray over my open skin and burn it as it had before. Plus I now had my clitoris back! And no more itching, burning or disfigurements! My skin is smooooth and I am very happy with the results. I know that I will require follow up and oshots perhaps on a regular basis but believe me that is nothing compared to the alternative of suffering with LS.
If you are considering this type of surgery please ensure that your doctor is qualified to do it. I can not emphasize that enough. Dr Posey is not only highly qualified to do this type of surgery but is genuinely kind, caring and compassionate. A great Doctor and a great person!
Very hopeful this will work
Hi Beverly,
It was a pleasure treating you and I am honoured to call you my patient. You taught me a lot about patience, perseverance, and faith. As you remember after the first day I told you I didn’t think I could free up the clitoris and you asked me to please try .I put more PRP in the area and told you to come back the next day. I kept working on you ; said a little prayer and the results are a miracle .Thank you for the kind review. I will see you soon as I would like to retreat you and teach other Gynecologists what we have accomplished. I will give you a call tomorrow.

Thanks to the expertise of Dr. Elizabeth Tuttle (Columbus Wellness Medicine, Ccolumbus, OH), the O-Shot has improved my sexual experience. I’m 66 years old and realize that I’ll never have the orgasms I did when I was 30, 40 or 50 but this has definately improved the experience when I thought I would never be able to havce an orgasm again.
I would like to know how much cost for O shot (just for an average price)? how long will it last – like good for 2 or 5 years?
Sherry, the cost of the O-shot is around $1200-$1500 per treatment. Duration of benefits vary but for many can last 12-18 months. Depending on your reasons for having the injection done. For some urinary incontinence is resolved for sexual health many opt to repeat every 1-2 years to maintain their results.
I am 57 years old and on BHRT for around 7 years. I seem not have any problem with orgasm but i continue have a problem with pain and dryness vagina even tho I use lubricant because of post menopausal. I wonder if O shot would help or reduce pain (more likely spasm in muscle) and dryness vagina? If so how long O shot may last long? What is range price for O shot and how much often?
Thanks,
Sheri
Sheri, great questions! Many of my patients have noticed that vaginal dryness has significantly improved with the O-shot whether they are post menopausal or not. It also has had great results with pain from multiple causes like scar tissue, spasms, etc. The O-shot usually lasts 12-18 months in most women however many opt to repeat again to maintain or even improve the results they have achieved with prior injections. It is sometimes recommended to repeat yearly to continue to maintain the results as well as can be an additive improvement on the gains that have already been made. The price range varies however usually cost around $1200-1500 per treatment. Feel free to email me at numoonprp@gmail.com for further questions.
I am hopeful the O Shot will help me in several ways. I have Lichen Sclerosus and also have always had a problem reaching orgasm which in turn has affected me as well as my relationships. I would just one time wish to have a normal sexual experience. I would like my LS to be helped.
Marcia If your LSnA is mild , you can find a provider near you to treat you with the O Shot and PRP in the lichen areas If you have extensive scarring please call me and I will refer you to a doctor near you that can help you My cell number is 5044958388 I’m sorry you have been suffering with this problem

Dr. Posey is one of our very top experts with lichen especially when phimosis of the clitoral hood is involved.
I have lichen sclerosis and I need the name of a doctor near me zip 52402 and is this covered by medicare
Diane What kind of cancer did you have radiation for? We have had great success with breast cancer patients. If you had squamous cell of the cervix. I would proceed with caution unless you are free of disease for several years.
I was referred to Dr Kathleen Posey for hormone replacement therapy. Little did I know that she is an expert in her field and could offer hope for treatment of my vulvodynia of the past 7 yrs. After a minor surgical procedure to release scar tissue of vaginal introitus and the O-shot, I now have renewed sexual experiences – increase vaginal lubrication, greatly decreased pain with penetration, increased libido and increased orgasm intensity. A “big” thank you and much appreciation to Dr Posey’s knowledge and determination to help when no one else could. My marriage has a new found joy and revitalization. Dr Posey not only persists to find a treatable solution but also trains other physicians. She is an answer to prayer!

I am 52 year old lady who has had LS for the last 4 years and I’ve seen 4 doctors for this condition all who were board certified either in dermatology or gynecology. My last gynecologist did surgery on me which was not successful. My husband found information about the O shot and Dr. Posey was 30 minutes from my house. She removed scar tissue and treated my LS with PRP as well as doing an OShot. Within 3 weeks I was able to have intercouse without pain. There still was some itching and a little pain around the clitoris so Dr. Posey did another treatment with OShot and more PRP. My hormones were nonexistent so she has placed me on bioidentical estrogen , progesterone, and testosterone. I can’t wait to see the smile on my husband’s face and I’m so relieved my pain is gone. Thank you Dr. Posey and Dr. Runels.
I had the Oshot yesterday plus additional PRP to areas of Lichen. I have had symptoms with painful intercourse for 5+ years and Dr. Posey is the 3rd gynecologist I have seen for this problem. I was given steroids and yeast medication by the other doctors and Dr. Posey used the Oshot and additional PRP and I rated my symptoms as a 10 and after 1 treatment I am now a 2! Please, please get the word out to other women suffering with this disease about the use of the Oshot with additional PRP to alleviate the symptoms of Lichen!
Wendy, congratulations on your results!! It is so amazing to continue to see so many women who suffer from LS finally get relief from a procedure that is natural and safe like the O-shot. We are trying our best to get the word out there about these treatments. It is success stories like yours as well as the courage and strength of patients like yourself who are not afraid to openly talk about these treatments with other Lichen Sclerosus sufferers that will help spread the word even more. Many are not aware such treatments exist and suffer in silence. Please continue to share your success with others!
I am 41 years old and have never had children. I developed severe stress incontinence 5 years losing my urine if I jogged, coughed, sneezed, or rode my horse. I had an O shot and got relief shortly after my shot. I am 3 weeks out and all is good. I am so grateful that Dr. Posey suggested that I try this procedure.
Hi Aubrey, great to hear and thanks for leaving feedback, it really helps future patients to feel confident in getting the procedure!
Aubrey, congratulations on your results! Keep us updated on how you are doing!
How long should it be after the O shot to notice anything?
Hi Angie, in my practice experience it usually takes several weeks to see the improvements in the sexual function and longer for the improvement in urinary incontinence. We usually say results peek in about 3-6 months and wait until then to evaluate the need for a second treatment. Hope that helps!
Ok.. Thank you! I am 3 weeks out from the 1st shot and while I do notice a little something just wondered about a 2nd shot.
That’s great that you have noticed some results already. Give it some time and you should see more! Glad it is starting to work for you. Take Care!
I have had the o-shot procedure done two months ago. I have not noticed anything positive. Very disappointed. I was on the testosterone shots that worked great for my sexual desire but with all the office visits and out of pocket money. Plus some side effects. I finally talked my husband into it. I stopped the testosterone shots before the procedure. I am experiencing dryness which I did not have before and no desire and harder to be aroused. I started taking silenor (3mg). But I don’t think that’s interfering because I had the procedure done 3 weeks prior. Is there hope that the o- shot will kick in??
Hi, I had the O shot done 15 days ago by someone trained by Dr. Runels. I’m 37 and currently taking Yaz for PMDD, but I haven’t had any PMDD symptoms in about 5 months. It’s been two weeks since the shot and I’ve felt no difference. Is there still hope that it may start working? How much longer should I wait before assuming that it did not work?
STARTS to work at around 3 weeks. It’s not a drug, it’s an infusion of growth factors —so the body needs time for growth. Think of it like “fertilizer” with sprouts beginning to appear at 3 weeks and full effect at 2 to 4 months. Wayyyy to early to become discouraged.
I agree. it takes time. your provider should educate you about that.
Thank you!
I willing to share anything that would be helpful to women who have this disease.
I had sought help from my hometown OB/GYN and my family physician and the only treatment which was prescribed was Clobetasol ointment. The ointment was supposed to lessen the symptoms, but didn’t seem to help very much. The itching was fierce/miserable. I felt depressed, helpless, and was very uninterested in sexual activity.
I was in Dr. Brenner’s office for a cosmetic treatment, and saw a sign advertising the O-Shot and thought that maybe it would help with my lack of libido. But, what ultimately made me decide to have the O-Shot, was a text I received from my daughter who had learned that the shot was supposed to help/possibly cure Lichen Sclerosus symptoms. I was THRILLED to know that there was a treatment available. I decided immediately to try the O-Shot therapy.
To date, I have received the O-Shot twice.
I felt it was a relatively safe procedure as
my own blood was drawn, and then the Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) extracted from my blood was injected into my vaginal tissue. Dr. Brenner also removed the scar tissue from the disease that had formed, which completely covered my clitoris. It was a huge part of why I was so uninterested in sex, and even I did not know it had progressed so badly.
The 2nd O-Shot was done because there were a few areas where the itching remained. Dr. Brenner targeted the injections to these areas and the results have been amazing. THE ITCHING IS GONE!!! These treatments have greatly
enhanced my sexual health and I am grateful to Dr. Brenner for making this treatment available to women who have sexual dysfunction and/or Lichen Sclerosus.
I would strongly encourage anyone with Lichen Sclerosus and/or sexual dysfunction to receive the O-shot therapy. I was told by other medical doctors that there was no cure for this condition, and after suffering with it for about 4 years, I have been successfully treated and CURED. I am cautiously optimistic that I will not need an O-Shot therapy again, but would absolutely do it again IF the symptoms return.
Thank you very much for being brave enough to share your story. I’m sure you will help bring hope and healing to many suffering women and their families.
Thank You for your review GG , I am 57 and lost my ability to have vaginal & clitoral orgasms after menopause at 50 , In 2012 I started Testosterone pellets every 3 mo. $230 a pop. I have had
surgical vaginal Rejuvenation, perineoplasty, posterior Repair, vaginal Repair 2014 ,
and have been closely watching reviews on O-Shot.
I waited 2 years to see if I would be eligible for study on ThermVia (but I did not qualify ;(
in 2016 I spent $2500 on ThermVia 3 treatments 4 week apart to which I did not have any results what so ever ;( very disappointed ;(
So as I have learned of the O-Shot ,have done the same thing waiting in hopes to be part of a study , Dr. Runels informed me July 4 that I will not be a candidate for a study on the O-Shot ;(
In the 7 years of research we have spent MEGA $$$ .I am struggling weather or not to continue spending$$ to regain my O’s . Your review gives me hope .
Dr. Amy Brenner would be my Physician also 😉
I am also getting the Breast Lift due to loss of sensation;) along with O-Shot 😉
I applied for 15 mo. no interest at my bank ,making my appointment in Aug.2017
Will update my results. HOPEFUL Becka2017
My name is Wendy and I received PRP and the Oshot for Lichen In Dec. The last normal sexual intercourse I had was 7 to 8 years ago. Since then bleeding, tearing, and pain. I had intercourse 5 days ago without pain or bleeding. I had adhesions removed around my clitoris in Dec prior to the PRP. Dr Posey did my treatment and it’s a miracle! I am at her office today to get second treatment for minor itching.
Wendy, congratulations on such positive results. Dr. Posey is amazing and we all wish you continued success with future treatments! Keep us updated.
I would like to know if there has been anyone that the 1st shot did not do anything but then had a 2nd shot that did work ?
Yes, responses may vary and for some a second shot can make a bigger and more noticeable difference. What first needs to be possibly addressed prior to a second injection is if there are any other possible reasons for female sexual dysfunction. You would want to make sure that you have had an evaluation to assess your thyroid levels and hormone levels since a suboptimal level can affect libido, energy etc. Similarly for what I advise my male patients, is that each person is starting at a different baseline. Some are at a higher baseline than other at the time of starting injections. Many times, results can be additive with repeat injections especially since we are not necessarily stopping the aging clock but trying to rebuild and rejuvenate certain areas. I hope this helps and if you have any further questions, please feel free to reach out to me at numoonprp@gmail.com
Hi Angie and Dr. Moon, just wanted to say i agree. The use of PRP to stimulate healing and healthy tissue is not a perfect science. The patient needs to have a full medical, hormonal, and social evaluation to look at all possible causes of symptoms. Sometimes multiple OShots are necessary and other treatments like hormone replacement need to be considered. Hope that helps!
Thank you so much for responding! I am currently doing Bio Identical Hormone therapy so my doc and I don’t believe this is a Hormone issue. I spoke with my doc yesterday and we are going to do a 2nd shot and see what happens 🙂 I can say that I did notice the 1st shot helped with Urinary Incontinence.
Great, sounds like you should get more benefit from the second treatment. you have to remember that this treatment simply is a concentration of your own tissue healing and strengthening elements reintroduced into your tissue to stimulate healing and improvement in function. Although, yes, the procedure must be done correctly, its up to your body to respond. I tell patients that i am simply a medium to help your body heal but your body has to do the work. Again, hope that helps and good luck. I bet you will see more with the second treatment.
So if your body decides to “reject” it’s own Plasma then the shot does not work ??
Great question! Your body won’t “reject” it’s own PRP, it may just not “recognize” that the PRP is indicating that something needs to be addressed or “healed” like it just doesn’t change.
one more thing, it is still very rare for that to happen, that it doesn’t “respond” to the healing signal.
Since PRP is your own cells there is little to no chance of your body rejecting those cells but rather the mediated response needed to produce and effect was not reached for some reason which is why other medical reasons are important to explore and rule out. Since we are trying to influence an inflammatory response with growth factors sometimes the response is not as great in some and sometimes there is no way to tell from patient to patient but majority that have all other medical areas optimized do well. Hence when PRP is used for other areas like joints etc there are options depending on severity of injury to use actual stem cells that are extracted from your body or gathered from other sources which many times can produce a larger inflammatory and healing response however the cost to extract stem cells and process can become even more expensive and with the O-shot most have not needed to go that route.
I am so encouraged by the numerous reports of positive responses for treatment of lichen sclerosis with the O Shot in women who have suffered for many years with this debilitating
condition. Treatment has been life changing for so many women and their partners and families. Let’s continue to get the word out and educate the medical community.

I am a 66 year old married woman who has lichens and has never had pain-free vaginal intercourse. For years I did not have intercourse at all (very unfair to my wonderful husband) because the pain was too intense. On those rare occasions when there is penetration I feel nothing of a sexual nature. I can experience orgasim with manual stimulation and there is always residual irritation after for several days. I am on Estrace and clobetisol for general discomfort but neither helps with intercourse. Might there be any hope for me or has that ship sailed?
Pat,
Do not give up! This is an amazing group of providers who have helped women just like you. Please contact some of the providers near you who are comfortable treating lichen sclerosis. We look forward to hearing more about your journey!
Where are you located? There are some gynecologists in the group who can release adhesions, do the O shot and place additional PRP. Dr Runels is making a list,
I live in Wilmington, Delaware
To be clear I’m not dissatisfied with my long life husband we have been together since 1976 we have had a wonderful sex life up until I went into menopause “2011” . I started questioning my gynecologist when husband & I noticed all the changes which happened very quickly for 3.5 years I picked brains, searched the internet, did all her recommendations . Went to see a hormon Doctor , I started on testosterone pellets every 3 mo. now for 5 years . which to this day she has not had a patient with my complaints . I finely goggled the right word to pull up Dr. Miklos and Dr. Moore out of Atlanta. There was my information I needed. Had testimonies and pictures of what I now have noticed how I look down below . That was all I needed hubby and I are on our new journey to which I believed I would regain my sensation & vaginal , clitoris orgasms back . My procedures are as follows
Laparoscopic Hysteropexy w/mesh
Paravaginal Repair
Posterior Repair
Perineoplasty
Labia Minora Reduction
Cystoscope
Vaginoplasty. Aug.26. 2014
1 week after surgery I had amazing clitoris sensation which faded away just as it did at menopause.6 weeks later
I do get some sensation every once in awhile ( but few & far between)
Aug 22 2016 had 3 treatments ThermiVa
4 weeks apart. I did not have any results at all with that treatment . At the time of ThermiVa treatment was recommended to do O- Shot but doc’ s struggled to give me clear explanation of how the procedure worked or any information at all on the O – Shot so with all that we have spent really made it very hard to make a decision on that procedure . Plus I’m getting very distressed with my condition. I am hoping that there will be a study on some one such as I . We have no problem traveling. We live in Ohio traveled to Atlanta for all my procedures.
I have read your book over and over I feel that this is my healing at current time we are paying on ThermiVa ,
Our sex life still good , very hard to get a rhythm and connection so becoming more like a disappointing job . My Hope is that a study is on the way.
Sincerely Becky and Jerry Brookshire ❤️?❤️?❤️??❤️?❤️?❤️?
We have spent well over 20,000 so far searching for a healing
I just wanted to give an update- I did have a 2nd shot yesterday. The 1st shot I had did not hurt at all but the 2nd one hurt ALOT-LOL I am hoping that this means this 2nd shot is going to work -lol

Have you had any results from your 2nd O-Shot ?
I am wondering if it is “too late” for me to get any benefit from treatment. My labia minora is mostly gone and my vaginal opening is very small. I have not had sex with my husband for about 12 years, and until a couple of years ago I felt no need or desire for sexual satisfaction. My motive for seeking treatment is to preserve what little ability I have for orgasm… I wonder If this could help me deal with my intense sadness over the situation. Is this a reasonable expectation or have I waited to long to acknowledge what a huge loss this is for me?
I have had success with removing scar tissue then doing the O SHOT with additional PRP to the surgical areas in women who have had painful or lack of intercourse for 5 to 12 years also with small vaginas due to this disease. Don’t give up. Just find a provider who is interested in treating this in our group. It may take several treatments and may need treatments every 6 months with PRP if the disease returns.
Dr Posey has the most experience of anyone I know who treats women suffering with lichen sclerosus complicated by structure. She uses a combination of surgery with the O-Shot procedure with astounding success in women who have lost hope.
She also will be publishing & presenting her findings at an upcoming meeting of gynecologists. For gynecologists and surgeons, I highly recommend her hands-on workshops teaching the techniques.
Many of our O-Shot providers treat lichen. Only the surgical specialists treat the strictures and phimosis along with treating the lichen that caused these problems.
My Lichens Slerosis became severe in August of 2016. I’ve tried 10 different medicines and the latest was a steroid injection. My regular gyno Dr sent me to another gynecologist in the area that specializes in problems with lichens. He is a wonderful Dr, but everything we try is not working. I spoke to him about the O-shot but he is not performing the shots at this time. I tried to look for a doctor in my area and closest one to perform is over an hour away. Plus, the concern is of course the price. I’m sure this is not covered by insurance and is probably considered investigational. I continue to suffer in pain and some days it’s beyond unbearable.
I’m very very sorry that you’re suffering.
Some of our providers treat people for free if the person is severely limited financially.
On the other hand, to drive an hour to relieve such severe suffering (1/2 the time it takes to watch a movie) and pay the price of what it takes to get a new set of tires for your car–iss this really a huge sacrifice to relieve such severe suffering?
Call the provider closest to you and do what you can to get well. Most of our providers will also refund money if you’re not made well. If you knew you would find healing from this procedure with no risk of losing your money, would it be worth the price of fixing the transmission on your car and driving less time that it takes to watch a movie?
Thank you for being honest. Sometimes in the middle of the fog of pain, things can get confusing.

I have lichen sclerosis in my urethra. Would this help that? I haven’t read about that anywhere.
Michelle,
The Oshot treatment has thus far been used to treat LS along the external genitalia and vaginal walls however the placement of PRP inside the vagina along the anterior vaginal wall (close to the urethra) may provide relief of symptoms since it is near the urethra. The PRP with Oshot technique is not placed within urethra but there have been patients who report pain relief who have been diagnosed with interstitial cystitis, vulvodynia etc and therefore this may also help your condition. There should be no harm in you proceeding with the treatment. Good luck!
While I was diagnosed with LS a couple years ago, I’m told I’m in the beginning stages. The minor white patch is not longer present with the use of Triamcinolone and little clitoral fusing. I do have anal LS also which makes it uncomfortable. I have a long history of vestibuldynia (former name vestibulitis), vaginismus, and pelvic floor dysfunction for over ten years now. I have no itching, just pain, burn, raw, tight, and no sex as my husband would just hit a brick wall if he tried to enter. Is the o-shot successful with the other conditions mentioned, aside from Lichen Sclerosus? I have no pain in the vagina, the pain is external in the vestibule preventing intercourse.
Yes, the Oshot can help for this type of pain however you also want to make sure that you do not have a component of nerve type pain commonly involving the pudendal nerve as well as genitofemoral nerve. A pain specialist or ob gyn physician who specializes in pelvic pain can help distinguish further whether you have a combination of pain generators. If the problem or pain generator is coming from the genitalia and skin then treating that area with PRP can be effective along with the possible need for dilators to help with stretching the vaginal opening if needed. Good luck!
Yes very healing for the pain and itching associated with Lichen
I feel I wasted a lot $ for nothing
I’m very sorry to hear. Here’s some things to think about…
1. How long has it been since you were treated? (Full effect is not until 3 months)
2. Was it from one of our official providers (click to see)? (some imposters out there who do substandard things and illegally call it an O-Shot)
3. Did you return to your provider and let them know? (most of the certified providers will either give a full refund or repeat the procedure–your choice–if the woman treated feels like the results were not worth the money spent).
Hello- I just wanted to share my experience with the O shot so far- The first shot I had did nothing for me so I had a 2nd shot 3 months after the 1st one and it seemed to work.. I want to get a 3rd one at about 6 months out and then maybe once a year but will see how it goes .
I’m 35 years old and had 4 kids. Had to get the iud birth control because I get pregnant fast. Can I get the o shot while having the iud birth control in?
Yes you can and I would love to help you. My practice is Jarvis Family Medical Services, PLLC 8134 New LaGrange Road Suite 100, Louisville, KY. 40222 (502) 822-3659. http://www.jarvisfamilymedicalservices.com is our website. Call us when your are ready. Have a great day.
Curious to know….what percentage of women receiving the o shot return for another shot because the first did not achieve desired sexual results?
I’m 48. Post hysterectomy. I’ve been diagnosed with vestibulodynia. I don’t have LS. I have vaginal atrophy as well.
Is the PRP effective in treating this type of condition?
Hi I was recently diagnosed with LS after 4 years of tightening of my vulva making intercourse impossible.
