Dr. Nosti grew up in Kansas City, where his father, Dr. Juan Nosti, established his Plastic Surgery practice. He went on to complete his undergraduate degree at the University of Pennsylvania and received his medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine. With a strong interest in women’s health, Dr. Nosti moved to Indianapolis, Indiana, for his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology. During his training, he worked closely with pelvic floor specialists performing surgeries and research related to the field. Based on this experience, he decided to proceed with additional training. He was accepted into one of the nation’s premier Urogynecology Fellowships at Georgetown University in Washington, DC. During his three-year fellowship, he focused on the treatment of pelvic floor disorders, including medical and surgical management of urinary incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse. He performed hundreds of innovative and complex procedures with some of the nation’s top pelvic surgeons. He also rotated with surgeons in the related fields of Colorectal Surgery, Urology, and Plastic Surgery. He published extensively on pelvic floor disorders and won research and teaching awards. During his training, he focused on minimally invasive vaginal, laparoscopic, and robotic surgery, becoming certified in the Fundamentals of Laparoscopic Surgery. He also traveled to Rwanda with the International Organization of Women’s Development (IOWD) to treat women with complex pelvic floor disorders. After completing his fellowship in 2013, Dr. Nosti moved back to Kansas City to launch Urogynecology of Kansas City, a specialty center focused on the treatment of pelvic floor dysfunction. He has maintained a membership in multiple specialty organizations, including the American Urogynecology Society, Society of Gynecologic Surgeons, and American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. In his free time, Dr. Nosti loves to spend time with his two children and his wife, Hanae. He enjoys being outdoors, traveling, and relaxing with friends and family.
